SUBSTANCE ABUSE OUTPATIENT TREATMENT

Payne County Counseling Services, Inc. provides professional substance abuse related services for the community.

The Substance Abuse Outpatient Treatment Program is a program of treatment for alcohol and other drug (AOD) abuse. This program of treatment is for those who are assessed as being in a substance dependent or high risk of addiction condition as indicated by an alcohol drug evaluation. The program consists of:

  • 24 weeks of 2 hour education/therapy group total of 48 hours. This component of the program is held on Thursday evenings from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
  • 24 weeks of individual counseling. This component of the program is scheduled as the client can work out with individual counselor during the 24 week program.
  • 24 weeks of one (1) Self-help Group (AA/NA) meeting a week. Attended at the client's own schedule. Verification of each meeting will be made by the client having a sign-up sheet signed by a representative of the Self-help group.

The results are 72 therapeutic intervention hours and 24 Self-help Group hours for a total of 96 hours. Three (3) contacts per week for a 24 week period.

This Substance Dependency program is designed to help clients understand the true nature of addiction, realize the effects it has on families and on the individuals and learn how to deal with life's everyday problems without the use of alcohol and other drugs.
